Berlin-based artist and photographer Kiki Kausch presents her new exhibition “This is not America” at Acht Berlin.
A powerful visual reflection on the complexities of the American dream.
The exhibition brings together, in an unexpected way, intimate portraits of Hollywood stars with striking images of melting icebergs in Greenland. Kausch contrasts the dazzling façade of pop culture with the silent drama of climate change. The resulting visual worlds are both moving and unsettling — an artistic exploration of identity, myth, and decay.
“This is not America” is not a judgment, but an invitation to reflect: What does “America” mean today — as a place, as a dream, as a global projection?
